The MINI 5-door Hatch is 16 centimetres longer than the 3-door and has two extra doors which open up unexpected opportunities: five seats, noticeably more legroom in the back and 30% more luggage space. Ideal for the city, the sporty go-kart feeling makes it fun to drive around tight corners and helps you make your own way through narrow lanes and heavy traffic.
2014 - 2018
The first generation of the 5-door Hatch is built on the success of the 3-door Hatch. The length of the car was increased a little to create more space in the rear whilst two extra doors provide greater accessibility for passengers. Under the bonnet there was a choice of four engines with MINI TwinPower Turbo technology, all of which offer power, performance and driving fun, balanced with fuel efficiency. There are two petrol and two diesel variants.
2018 - 2021
The central console was touch-screen enabled. In addition the MINI’s independent rear suspension was updated for greater comfort. The engine weight was reduced to enhance the balance of performance & efficiency. There are four engine variants, three petrol and one diesel.
2021 - Present
The 2021 update gives the 5-door Hatch a sportier look with an air scoop at the front. New options include 18” two-tone wheels, navigation packs, and a new look dashboard. Under the hood, the engines with MINI TwinPower Turbo have been retained providing a brilliant balance of driving performance and efficient fuel consumption. There are three petrol variants in the line up.
